Taylor Godwin, Instructor

Taylor began dancing in preschool where she specialized in ballet and tap dancing. Later in elementary school, Taylor was involved in her school's dance team for the football games where she focused mainly on jazz and pom routines. Following this, she was a member (and captain) of the Mabank Pantherette drill team in high school and taught kick, hip hop, and jazz routines. Taylor has always had a passion for children and has even spent 4 years working in childcare. Dance has always played a part in her life  and she is thrilled to be able to bring out that passion in others.

Destiney Atkinson, Instructor

Destiney has always had a love for dancing and finally got to start training in sixth grade with Upward Cheer. In seventh grade she joined the Kemp junior high drill team and served as First Lieutenant her eighth grade year. She continued dancing on with the Kemp High School Stingerettes where she served as First Lieutenant her Junior year and Captain her Senior year. After graduating from high school she took her experience over to Trinity Valley Community College where she danced for two years as an Internationally Acclaimed Cardette. Her sophomore year she had the privilege to travel with the competition team and helped to bring home their first ever National Championship Title. Completing TVCC in August of 2017 with an associates she decided to take her academic career to the University of Texas at Tyler where she danced for one year as a Patriot Dancer.

Destiney has always been dedicated to sharing her passion with others and hopes to be an inspiration to her students. Throughout her years of dance she has learned many styles from; jazz, hip hop, pom, contemporary among others. She has been choreographing dances for the Kemp Stingerettes since her Junior year of high school and is excited to now share her love for dance at The Dance Connection. Destiney comes from a large family where she is the oldest of ten! So her love for helping children will always be present while in the studio class room.
